Programs Supported by PTA
PTA Programs:
- Supporting instructional personnel
- Providing funds for each PCS teacher to purchase additional classroom supplies
- Providing funds for staff development
- Providing grade level enrichment programs such as Walk through California and visits by outside programs such as the Lindsey Museum.
- Providing scholarship funds for student field trips such as Outdoor Education
- Providing funds for PTA related program expenses
- Providing educational opportunities for parents
- Organizing community building events for the students and families
How we support these programs:
The PTA supports these programs through directed fundraising activities:
- Educational Support Fund: We ask each family for a tax deductible donation of $150.00 per family at fall registration
- e-Scrip: We encourage all families to register with e-Scrip. It is an effortless way to raise funds for our school. The PTA Group Number is 0137225739. Go to www.escrip.com to register.

PTA Reflections:
The theme for 2010 is: "Together we can..."
Reflections is an arts recognition and achievement program sponsored by the National PTA. Students submit their original works of art, inspired by a pre-selected theme, to the Reflections team here at Parkmead. The entries are judged and the top entrants are then forwarded to the Las Trampas Council level which then judges entries from all the area schools. The program culminates with judging and recognition at the national level. Participation and appreciation for the arts is the Reflections Program's goal. Although the Reflections Program follows a "contest" format, winning is not the emphasis.
